ITSM Inventory Management provides unified IT asset management for the service desk. This module incorporates the FrontRange automated IT asset discovery engine which feeds all captured asset discovery information into the Inventory data repository and provides a basis for populating the FrontRange Configuration Management Database (CMDB). When Inventory Management is integrated with the service desk, end-to-end incident and problem management is streamlined, saving time and cost at the help desk while dramatically increasing first call resolution rates.

This module incorporates the FrontRange Discovery automated IT asset inventory engine, which audits all hardware and software on the network and feeds this information into the Inventory data repository and provides a basis for populating the FrontRange Configuration Management Database (CMDB). When Inventory Management is integrated with the service desk, end-to-end incident and problem management is streamlined, saving time and cost at the help desk while dramatically increasing first call resolution rates.

The FrontRange Inventory Management solution supports a comprehensive IT infrastructure management strategy – which begins with a combined auto-discovery and Inventory Management solution, and expands to become a full-featured solution to support important regulatory and license compliance initiatives.

Automated discovery provides the basis to identify all the assets on the network.  FrontRange Discovery identifies, scans, and reports detailed configuration information for all IT infrastructure assets, including PCs, servers, software, network printers, and mobile devices.
